INI CET Topper’s Choice Cerebellum Academy -How Cerebellum Academy Is Changing Lives: INI CET Rank 3 Dr. Abhinav Shares His Journey

Every year, hundreds of students dream of cracking the INI CET, but only a handful make it to the top.

So what makes a topper different? Hard work, dedication, and the right guidance.

And today, we bring you the inspiring story of Dr. Abhinav Agarwal, who secured Rank 3 in INI CET November 2025, and credits a major part of his success to Cerebellum’s BTR, PYQs, and GTs. It is not a topper’s interview. It is proof of how Cerebellum Academy continues to transform lives — one student, one dream at a time.

A Dream Rank: The Beginning of Dr. Abhinav’s Success

The conversation opens with Dr. Zainab Vora congratulating Dr. Abhinav — a junior from AIIMS — for achieving Rank 3.

Dr. Abhinav describes his feelings clearly:

“I always wanted and deserved this rank… but to actually get it is something else.”

Years of hard work finally found the perfect result.

MBBS Years: Building a Strong Foundation

When asked about his MBBS journey, Abhinav shares that he was sincere from the beginning:

  • First year: struggled with Anatomy and Biochem
  • Second year: focused deeply on concepts
  • Followed standard textbooks like Robbins, KDT, and Purva Shastri
  • Relied on class/video lectures + notes
  • Added First Aid for strengthening basics
  • Clinical postings + selective note-making in final year

A solid base made his future preparation easier.

Internship Phase: The Reality Check

During the internship, he gave his first GT in January and scored shockingly well for someone who hadn’t started prep seriously.

But then — stagnancy hit.

What pulled him down?

“Surgical subjects… I was very scared of reading them.”

By May–June, he realised the need to double down on weak areas.
He began using discussion videos and main notes, and slowly, scores improved.

A Pause. A Wrong Branch. A Turning Point.

Dr. Abhinav initially secured Rank 86 in November, but didn’t get his desired branch.
He prepared again, but the result improved only to Rank 85.

He lost confidence. He opted for Dermatology at AIIMS… but soon understood:

“I am not built for dermatology.”

After deep reflection and watching guidance videos from Cerebellum, he dropped the seat and decided to restart. A bold, life-changing decision.

And Then Came the Game-Changer: CEREBELLUM BTR By Dr. Zainab Vora

When he returned home, he had just 2.5 months to prepare. But this time, he went all-in on the Cerebellum BTR program.

“This time, my preparation was solely focused on BTR… If you have done BTR thoroughly, you will not miss out on the direct questions.”

He didn’t waste time on multiple sources.
He watched:

  • Offline BTR once
  • Surgical subjects BTR videos
  • BTR compiled modules
  • BTR bonus
  • BTR discussion videos
  • First Aid alongside

He even says:

“I watched everything… I didn’t want to leave anything this time.”

Cerebellum Academy became his backbone.

The Cerebellum Strategy That Changed Everything

Unlike many students who rely heavily on QBanks, Dr. Abhinav followed a minimalistic but powerful approach:

✔ Focus on Content

✔ PYQs done 3–4 times

✔ GTs as the main exam simulator

✔ BTR as the core revision source

✔ Very selective QBank usage

He emphasises:

“PYQs were my main source. GTs were for practice. BTR was my revision copy.”

This is the classic Cerebellum way — concept first, strategy next.

When to Do BTR? His Advice for Juniors

Abhinav says:

  • If concepts are clear → Do BTR early (GT scores will shoot up)
  • If concepts are weak → Do main notes first, then BTR
  • For the last 5–10 days → Make BTR your ONLY book
  • Add PYQs and important topics into it
  • Carry only BTR during the final days

“You don’t have a choice… everybody is doing BTR. You cannot afford to miss it.”

Exam Day: What Made the Difference?

This year, he changed two things:

✔ Slept 7–8 hours

✔ Avoided searching blindly for answers

✔ Read every option

✔ Maintained time discipline

✔ Took educated guesses

He attempted all 200 questions — even the tricky bacteriophage one.

“If you attempt less than 195, getting a top rank is out of the question.”

That’s a topper mindset.

The Final Words: Cerebellum Changed the Game

As the conversation concludes, Dr. Abhinav says:

“If you have BTR… BTR was game-changing for me.”

This is exactly how Cerebellum Academy has become a movement: A place where students rediscover confidence, clarity, and excellence.

If you, too, dream of an AIIMS seat… If you, too, want a guided, structured, proven system…

Then Cerebellum Academy is your place.

Because here, Success is not luck — it’s a process. A process called the Cerebellum.
