FMGE July 2025 Paper Analysis
1.Difficulty Level – Not Too Easy, Not Too Hard
  • 70.5% rated the paper as moderate
  • 26.9% found it difficult
  • Only 2.6% marked it as easy

👉 This wasn’t a paper that caught everyone off guard, but it wasn’t a breeze either. Those who had focused on concepts rather than just facts seemed more comfortable.

2. Approximate number of image-based questions?
  • 44.9% faced 21–30 image-based questions
  • 29.5% saw more than 30
  • Smaller percentages saw fewer images

👉 A major shift here. Images were not just from Radiology, but also from:

  • Pathology (slides, stains)
  • Dermatology (lesions)
  • Surgery (tools)
  • Ophthalmology & ENT (instruments)

If you skipped visuals during prep, it probably hurt this time.

3. How much of the paper was clinically oriented?
Clinical Orientation Was the Key
  • 58.4% felt the paper was over 70% clinical
  • 40.3% marked it as a 50–70% clinical mix

👉 This exam tested your ability to apply knowledge, not just mug up facts. Whether it was Medicine, PSM, or even Biochem, the trend was clear: case-based reasoning mattered.

4. Compared to previous exams, how was this attempt?
  • 45.3% felt it was similar
  • 28% said it was slightly tougher
  • 20% found it easier
  • 6.7% thought it was much tougher

👉 Most felt it was similar or tougher than previous exams. For repeaters, that meant adjusting their strategy and focusing more on clinical understanding.

5. Were the questions in FMGE July 2025 mostly repeated or new?
  • 50% reported a mix of new and repeated questions
  • 38.5% said the paper had mostly new questions

👉 Clearly, relying only on past papers is no longer enough. Familiar questions may appear, but often with a clinical twist or in image-based format.

6. Which Subjects Dominated?
  • 43.4% said the exam was mainly clinical
  • 35.5% felt it was a balanced mix
  • Only 11.8% said preclinical subjects dominated

👉 According to responses, here’s how subjects featured:

Most Visible Subjects:
  • Medicine: Clinical scenarios with ECGs, infections, and hematology
  • Surgery: Trauma, post-op care, instruments
  • OB-GYN: Pregnancy complications, instruments, labor management
  • Pediatrics: Neonatal care, nutrition, developmental milestones
  • Radiology: X-rays, CTs paired with clinical vignettes
Also in Play:
  • PSM: Outbreaks, national programs, vaccination drives
  • Pathology: Microscopy-based diagnosis
  • ENT & Ophthal: Image-heavy identification questions

👉 Theory alone didn’t help much. Application and image familiarity were crucial.

7. How Helpful Was Cerebellum Academy?
  • 51.9% said it was moderately helpful
  • 23.4% found it extremely helpful
  • 24.7% marked it as very helpful

Students appreciated the structure, clinical content, and regular mocks. Many noted that even when questions weren’t directly repeated, similar concepts were taught.
