My Biggest Regret in NEET PG Prep – Don’t Repeat This Mistake! | Dr. Anvesha (AIR 3927, NEET PG 2025)

Preparing for NEET PG can test not just your knowledge but also your patience and mental strength. Every topper has a story behind that final rank, a mix of long nights, self-doubt, small victories, and lessons learned the hard way. One such inspiring story is that of Dr. Anvesha, who secured AIR 3927 in NEET PG 2025 and AIR 1388 in INI-CET May 2025.

Meet Dr. Anvesha

“I’m from Jaipur and did my MBBS from Bhilwara Medical College,” she says with a smile. “I’ve always loved biology since school, so medicine felt like a natural choice for me.”

Her journey, however, was far from easy. Like every NEET PG aspirant, she had to juggle classes, clinical postings, mock tests, and revisions — all while keeping her motivation alive.

How Her Preparation Journey Began?

Dr. Anvesha started preparing seriously during her third year of MBBS. “I used to watch video lectures, solve MCQs, and revise regularly,” she recalls. “During internship, I went all in — my preparation was at its peak. I gave GTs (Grand Tests) every 15 days, and closer to the exam, every 10 days.”

That consistent rhythm helped her stay in touch with every subject and identify her weak areas early.

Her Biggest Regret

When asked if she could change one thing about her preparation, she didn’t hesitate for a moment.

“I wish I had known about the BTR program earlier. I discovered it only after my internship and used it for my second attempt. When I saw it, I realised everything I had written in my notes was already there — perfectly structured and printed.”

Like many others, she spent months writing detailed notes, unaware that a ready-made, well-organised version already existed.

“If I had used BTR during my first attempt, I would have saved so much time and energy. That’s definitely my biggest regret.”

Her honesty becomes a powerful message for others — learn smart, not just hard.

The Role of Mental Strength

Apart from the syllabus and strategy, what kept her going was mental resilience.

“There were days when I wanted to give up,” she admits. “But I reminded myself — if not now, then next year. There’s no going back, so it’s better to do it now and give it your best shot.”

She also talks fondly about the guidance she received at Cerebellum Academy.

“Everyone here is incredibly supportive. They listen, help, and motivate you when things get tough. I really look up to Dr. Apurv Mehra, Dr. Zainab, and Dr. Praveen — they constantly reminded us that mental strength matters as much as study hours.”

Her Top 3 Tips for NEET PG Aspirants
1. Give GTs Regularly

“Don’t skip Grand Tests because you’re afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes are the best teachers. I used to give a test every 15–20 days — and that’s how I learned the most.”

2. Revise More, Not Just Read More

“The MBBS syllabus never ends. Instead of trying to cover everything, revise what you’ve already studied multiple times. Revisions matter more than endless new topics.”

3. Stay Consistent

“Even if you can’t study for long hours every day, make sure you study regularly. Small efforts add up when done consistently.”

Her Message to Aspirants

“Life always gives you another chance, but only if you’re ready to learn from your mistakes,” says Dr. Anvesha.

Her story beautifully captures what every NEET PG aspirant should understand — use the right tools from the beginning, stay consistent, and don’t let self-doubt win.
