What is FMGE?
FMGE is a screening test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Anyone who has completed their medical education outside India and wants to practice medicine in India must pass FMGE.
Only after clearing FMGE can you get registered with the NMC or your State Medical Council.
- Has the FMGE January 2026 registration ended?
Yes, the application window has closed.
- Applications were accepted from 14 November 2025 (3:00 PM) to 04 December 2025 (11:55 PM)
No fresh forms can be submitted now.
- Can I still edit my form if I have already applied?
Yes. If your payment was successful, you are allowed to edit limited details during the correction window.

You can change most details except:
- Candidate Name
- Nationality
- Email ID
- Mobile Number
- Test City
These fields remain locked.
- What if my photo or signature is wrong?
There is a separate chance to fix problems related to images only.
Image Correction Window
- 29 December 2025 to 31 December 2025
During this time, you can correct:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Thumb Impression
No other information can be edited in this window.
- What if my documents were marked deficient?
If there are issues with your uploaded documents, NBE allows you to resubmit them through an online portal.
Documents allowed for re-upload
- Primary Medical Qualification Certificate (PMQC)
- Embassy Attestation/Apostille of PMQC
- Eligibility Certificate or Admission Letter
- Proof of Citizenship
Correction Portal
All document corrections must be done at:

After this deadline, no correction will be allowed under any condition.

This tells candidates the city where they will take the exam.
- When will admit cards be available?
Admit Card Release: 14 January 2026
You must download your hall ticket online — there is no offline facility.
- What is the FMGE exam date?
Exam Date: 17 January 2026
