Hello friends, with me is Dr. Preethi Singh. She’s having a rank of 4636, right?
Yes, sir.
Congratulations to you, parents and family.
What was the first reaction?
Hi everybody, I’m Dr. Preethi Singh. I’m from Hyderabad, and I have pursued my MBBS from Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, LB Nagar.
And the first reaction of my parents was – actually, they were not at home, so I called my father,
like, “Papa, I have a 4636 rank!”
He said, “Yes, beta, I’m coming, wait, wait, I’m coming.”
They were very happy, sir, my brother, my mother, my father, everyone. And even I was very happy, sir.
I can see on your face, I wish I could have seen that video of your parents and brother. But okay, whenever we meet next, I’ll ask them also in detail.
The Journey and Strategy
So, Dr. Preethi Singh, a lot of students are going to follow this interview, watch this interview, and prepare their strategy.
Was this your first attempt?
No, sir. I had actually given my internship attempt.
I prepared for around three months, for which I used another platform. I went to classes for around one and a half months, which gave me a base for my preparation.
Actually, by joining that platform, I was able to guess the correct answer sometimes.
But after my internship attempt, I got a rank of 54,000.
Later, now I have a 4000 rank, sir.
After joining Cerebellum, I was able to know why these four options are given for a particular question.
I was able to rule out the options and think more in detail about the question and the topics.
Champions Batch Experience
Champions Batch classes – were you able to attend a few of them?
Yes, sir, I was able to attend.
And I actually want to say a few subjects like Physiology and Pharmacology — the best, sir. Pharma has become my favourite, sir.
Now, if I’m not able to guess the answer — like agar koi drug de diye — I just look at that drug name thinking, “isme kuch toh hoga… antagonist ya kuch toh hoga…” Sir, Gobind sir is incredible.
Physiology ma’am made us revise everything in her class — it was great, sir. And of course, you, sir.
Thank you so much. In fact, I must share with you – three days from now, Dr. Pooja’s class is starting for the next Champions Batch at Hyderabad, the same centre.
They should attend all the classes, sir. They must attend.
Because after attending those classes, I didn’t give much time to physiology, to be honest, but I was able to remember everything, sir, which was great.
Wow, that’s simply amazing.

MCQ Strategy
Were you able to practice PYQs?
Yes, sir.
My MCQ strategy was very clear — I wanted to do PYQs, BTR, ENDs, and GTs. Only those three. I didn’t want to hop into other things.
First, I did all the PYQs — only once — just to know the topics. Then I did BTR, E&Ds, not all, but a few. Then GTs, sir.
I want to talk about GTs — Cerebellum has put GTs in a series — GT1, Mock Test 1, 2, 3.
The difficulty level — sometimes advanced, which was a bit challenging, but the next one would be moderate.
And I can feel that after joining Cerebellum, it made me feel I could actually attempt a difficult paper, also, if I would get an exam with tough questions.
Motivation and Notifications
So when we were discussing earlier, you mentioned some notification.
Yes, sir. GT notifications.
Once I was taking a break — I was exhausted and didn’t attempt a live GT. While lying down, I checked my phone, and the message popped up.
It was a very cute message, actually! Cerebellum was putting so much effort into such motivational notifications.
It was like “Wow” — a kind of motivation, sir.
And coming to motivation, I would really say — the whole Cerebellum team works so hard for us.
I could actually see the notifications — “After five minutes, you’ll have this class” — and it was motivating!
Wow, that’s great, Dr. Preethi.
Future Plans
Have you zeroed in on any particular branch or branches?
Oh, I need General Medicine, sir.
But I’m also confused — medicine versus radiology, or medicine versus pediatrics?
No pediatrics, sir. I’m very sure I’m not going to take pediatrics — from the very first day!
The confusion will go away. I know you have a very good method to rule out the other options, so you’ll be able to do that.
Yes, definitely, sir.
Vision Ahead
Where do you see yourself five to ten years down the line?
Myself? Hmm, I don’t know, sir, actually. But I can make a prediction — a successful practising clinician, very popular in Hyderabad.
I can recollect something Dr. Zainab ma’am told — “You should be happy doing whatever you’re doing.”
And I want to be a happy doctor, sir. I really want to be a happy doctor.
Closing Note:
On this amazing note, I would love to, I’ll definitely meet you someday. I’m coming down to Hyderabad, maybe at the end of this month.
Definitely, sir.
And from the whole team of Cerebellum, Champions Batch, and Hyderabad team — they work day and night — we wish you all the best.
Much better milestones are waiting for you — you just have to keep working hard.
Thank you. Thank you so much. It was nice meeting you, sir.
