Starting the Journey: The First Attempt

He completed MBBS from AIIMS Rishikesh (Batch of 2019), finishing his internship in December 2024. His first attempt was INI CET in November 2024.

When the notification came, he had only two months to prepare.

With limited time, he focused on major clinical subjects and revision of fresh final-year topics. He purchased the BTR subscription in September and used it to finish minor subjects and biochemistry through the BTR videos.

With just two months and internship duties running parallel, he secured a rank around 3000 in his first INI CET attempt.

Restarting With Clarity After Internship

After finishing his internship in December, Dr. Harshit began his serious preparation in February.

He prioritised:

In this phase, he focused only on content. Test discussions weren’t possible because he needed to cover all 19 subjects first.

He consistently took GTs—ever since September of his first attempt—scoring 116–117 correct in the beginning. His base was already strong.

PYQs Over QBank: A Smart Strategy

By May INI CET, he had solved almost all PYQs, though he couldn’t complete the full QBank.

His May INI CET rank: 531.

A significant jump from his earlier 3000s.

Turning Point in His Life: BTR Mock GT & Bootcamp at Vidya Jeevan

When NEET got postponed, Dr. Harshit joined the 4-day Mock GT BTR Program, which introduced him to the Bootcamp at Vidya Jeevan.

That changed everything.

He decided immediately—before the NEET result even came out—that he would join the bootcamp for November INI CET. And he did.

What Bootcamp Gave Him: Competitive Push & Mentorship

After NEET, he shifted from Bhopal to Varanasi, and from there directly to Noida for the bootcamp.

He knew his weak point—he needed competition. And the bootcamp delivered exactly that.

The competitive environment, the weekly 200-MCQ tests, the computer-based format, the intense discussions—all of it helped him desensitise to exam tension. Every GT became “just another test.”

He was consistently in the Top 10 of every assessment.

The Power of MCQ-Heavy Practice

Post-NEET PG, Dr. Harshit went extremely MCQ-heavy:

He fine-tuned his content through relentless question practice. That, he says, is what pushed his rank into single digits.
